This post will help you to integrate Google Doc Previews in email itself for your Gmail Account, rather then switching tabs to view docs.  Often you receive mails which have links to google documents, but for viewing purpose you have to open them in new window which is bit irritating as you have to switch the tabs and you miss the email context.

By enabling this feature presented by Google labs, whenever you will receive a Email containing a link to a Google document . The name and type of the document will be auto detected and showed in the email itself with preview and open options, if you want to preview the document  just click on the show preview option and document will be display itself in the email.

To enable this Feature:

1. Login into your gmail account

2. Click on Settings at Right Top corner

3. Go to the Lab Tab

4. Scroll down to “Google Docs previews in mail “ and enable it.
